

One of the deadliest disasters of 2023 (along with theTurkey-Syria earthquake in February) came in the form of a Great Flood caused by Storm Daniel in Libya where more than 11,000 people are confirmed killed and staggering 10,000–100,000 are still missing.
It happened just 3 days after another mega-death disaster also in north Africa in the form of an earthquake in Morocco on September 8th, causing ~3,000 deaths.
