Starship is coming

Elon Musk just tweeted out this amazing illustration of what SpaceX’s “Starship” currently under construction in Texas will end up looking like. And it’s a stunner.
Starship test vehicle under assembly will look similar to this illustration when finished. Operational Starships would obv have windows, etc.

This is straight out of the sci-fi world, but it is very real. Look, a real picture of Starship being built in Boca Chica, Texas!
If you think this thing is big, Starship will actually be only about 1/4 of the length of the full rocket when it officially launches. Starship will be placed on top of a huge rocket which will separate upon reaching outer space, return to Earth, land, and then launch again. (Here is a simulation video from 2 years ago.)
Elon Musk’s companies (SpaceX, Tesla, Boring Company, Solar City, OpenAI, Neuralink, etc.) are literally creating the future many of us hoped we would see for so long but never materialized. Elon got tired of waiting and is doing it himself… successfully. It’s truly a remarkable thing.
SpaceX is planning a test flight of the Starship prototype in March or April this year and real orbital missions next year. And so for once, SpaceX appears to be ahead of schedule with Starship/BFR. Things are about to rapidly change…
