Decoding Musk

To discern what Musk is really doing, you have to start with the foundational premise: Everything Musk does is a calculated move to benefit him, his companies, and his goals – especially Mars.

DOGE is not a result of Musk’s urgent desire to help the government save money; DOGE for Musk is a portal through which he can spread his tentacles into as many governmental agencies as possible so that he would be able to exert influence on policy making which is something he needs to clear the path for a Martian new world order… (and he’s not really leaving politics and DOGE).

Basically, if you want to understand Musk and his actions, just start with this: The guy wants to go to Mars. (He wants to send humans to Mars and colonize it.)

And Musk is the kind of guy who goes after what he wants like a freaking Terminator. He would do pretty much anything for it, including buying an entire social media platform (Twitter) to control the narrative as well as pretending to go all MAGA and love Trump to gain political power.

Obligatory qualification: I’m not just another guy opining on Musk – the world’s richest and most controversial man. I’m the guy who accurately predicted his apocalyptic rise back in 2012. (Almost none of his fanboys today even knew who he was back then.)

You heard it here first. He [Elon Musk] is important, for the human race, for its future. For he will indeed most likely help mankind reach the Red Planet […] He has “destiny” written all over him.

Fast-forward to today:

Jun 03 ‘Disgusting abomination’: Musk goes nuclear on Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill’

Musk is making big headlines (after some actually thought Musk was about to fade into the background) as he aggressively slams Trump’s mega bill currently going through Congress.

So what’s going on there?

First: The guy wants to go to Mars. All his moves need to be assessed with that context in mind. Musk doesn’t really care about government spending. He cares about Mars; he cares about Trump dumping Musk’s pick for the head of NASA which happened just the other day.

May 31 Trump drops NASA nominee Jared Isaacman, scrapping Musk’s pick

This really matters to Musk and must have really angered him. Thus his lashing out, not holding back, publicly going negative against Trump. Musk can’t express his great anger about the NASA situation as that would create a hole in his facade of being a guy who just wanted to help the government save money, not someone who was trying to make changes in the government to benefit him and his personal goals. So he resorts to going after the president for his mega bill, making it something of a proxy war. (Plus, part of all this is obviously Musk trying to rehabilitate his public image in an effort to save Tesla which has experienced the biggest business brand destruction in history due to Musk’s politics.)

That’s likely what we’re seeing playing out today.

Will be fascinating to see where this will go next. As you may recall, I’ve raised the possibility of a scenario where Musk somehow finds a way to oust Trump and get his guy, VP Vance, into the Oval Office…
