Super Torch Ritual

SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell said this in April at a TED conference at the very end of her interview and I think it kind of slipped under the radar:

Fundamentally [Mars is] another place to explore. And that’s what makes humans different from animals, is our sense of exploration and sense of wonderment and learning something new.

And I also have to say, this is the first step in us moving to other solar systems and potentially other galaxies and I think this is the only time I ever out-vision Elon because I wanna meet other people in other solar systems. Mars is fine but it is a fixer-upper planet, there is work to do there to make it habitable. I wanna find people – or whatever they call themselves – in another solar system.

That’s the president of SpaceX, the leading and most influential private space company in the world, saying she wants SpaceX to eventually find ETs. Can you say Prometheus?
