The future arrives in 2019

At least according to the sci-fi “prophets”.
Arthur C. Clarke’s July 20, 2019: Life in the 21st Century (1986) is all about one specific day – July 20, 2019 – representing “the future” exactly 50 years after the Apollo 11 Moon landing. (Clarke wrote the introduction and epilogue only.)
2019 is also “the future” in Blade Runner (1982) based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” (1968), explicitly set in November 2019 Los Angeles.
(Arthur C. Clarke and Philip K. Dick were both born on December 16th.)
