The previous French driver to win Indy 500 back in 1914 (start of World War I) was Rene Thomas whose first name as pointed out by reader Evie means “reborn”, confirming our rebirth/phenix theme underlying this period. Death and rebirth: Prince Diana dying in Paris, her granddaughter being born just a few weeks ago; Leonardo da Vinci dying in France exactly 500 years ago in May (phoenix cycle = 500 years), reborn via Buckingham Palace exhibit that started during the same weekend as Indy 500. Etc. etc.
