Eclipse: United in awe

How wonderful is this? People everywhere united in marveling at this wonder in the sky. No fighting, no politics, no hate. Just us and the universe and its beauty and grandeur. This is when the human heart and spirit come alive. Inspiration. This is the state we need to strive to be in all the time. This is why we need to reach for the stars, why we need to go to Mars. Even if only for inspiration. Without inspiration and hope and wonder in the heart, the human spirit will wither and die. Earth is a tiny, tiny blue ball floating in the unimaginable vastness of space. Do you really think we have time to waste on petty politics and hate and obsessing about winning? There is a whole universe – maybe more than one – waiting for us out there!
